All the Dead Biddles - Underbite Theatre (World Premiere)
"Director Carly L. Bodnar have left no dead spaces in this show. Action and movement are decisive, and the actors wonderfully adept at drawing the audience into their world."
ALL THE DEAD BIDDLES (Underbite Theatre Company): Looks at life after death through lens of dark humor Phindie review by Lisa Panzer |
Karl and Wendy are mourning the loss of their son.
Karl seeks the help of Dr. Francis, an unconventional psychologist, while Wendy, enabled by their mysterious live-in nanny, indulges in a delusion that begins to push them both to their limits. "I’m not sure what social mission “All the Dead Biddles” fulfills, but I suspect that the director, Carly L. Bodnar, didn’t worry much about that when blocking the characters so meticulously in a small playing area. That, like so much about “All the Dead Biddles,” works." The doll and the denial: ‘All the Dead Biddles’ (Underbite Theatre Co. and Plays & Players) WHYY Review by Howard Shapiro "Director Carly L. Bodnar keeps a brisk pace in this 90-minute show. "
"But even in trespass, everyone stays in character. In the unpredictable, madcap finale, All the Dead Biddles feels a little like a bad dream. But your own nightmares were never this full of laughs."
