Performance Art

I got my start doing traditional stage plays and musical theater. However, I have long been fascinated by theatrical works that are created collaboratively and blur the lines between theater, visual art, movement, improvisation, and more.

In collaboration with members of ReVamp Collective, I created the show
Shit Men Have Said to Me, or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Patriarchy, which premiered at the 2016 Cincinnati Fringe Festival. I’ve also trained in Theatre of the Oppressed, devised work, performance art and activist theater with Applied Mechanics, Pig Iron Theatre Company, and Donna Kaz of the Guerilla Girls.

Writer

I am currently working on my first children’s book, Ella the Empath, a fun, colorful celebration of empathy, emotions, and compassion for readers 8 and up! I have also recently branched out into screenwriting, and am currently working on two hour-long scripted pilots and episodic treatments.

Past writing credits include the solo cabaret performances, Finding Myself: Shit, I Didn’t Even Know I Was Lost and Girl Talk: Um, Let Me Explain.
I recently shared an excerpt of a new play I am writing, Waking the Witch (cycle play in process) as part of the 2024 Herstory event for International Women's Day. Waking the Witch (a cycle play in process) is about the journey and power of the women.

Teaching Artist

Teaching theater has allowed me to use my skills and knowledge to instill a love of storytelling, performance, and self-expression in a new generation. My goal as a teaching artist is to cultivate an appreciation of all aspects of theater, both as an artist and observer. My teaching artist practice focuses on creative and imaginative thinking, collaboration, building trust, and promoting empathy, communication, confidence, and awareness of mind, body and voice.

Since 2013, I have taught children, teenagers and adults throughout the Greater Philadelphia area with in-school, after-school, and summer programs through the Tony Award winning Wilma Theatre Company, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, the Pennsylvania Arts Education Partnership, Walnut Street Theatre, Philadelphia Theater Company, Lantern Theater Company, Theatre Horizon, and Delaware Theatre Company.
